IMBC CANVASSES INDUSTRY FOR SEMINAR PROPOSALS AND PRESENTERS

IMBC

The International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC) has posted a “Call for Presenters” at its website, MarinaAssociation.org/IMBC. The deadline for submitting presentations is April 26, 2013.

The conference, produced by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI), is scheduled for January 29–31, 2014, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Presentations should be designed for intermediate to advanced levels of experience without overt company or product promotions.

IMBC breakout seminars will be organized by coastal, inland, boatyard, and engineering tracks. Within those tracks, topics will include marina operations, emergency response tactics, construction, legal considerations for marinas on federally leased lands, boatyard operations, marketing, management, revenue generation, expense management, customer service, environmental issues, human resources, and marina law. Plenary sessions will focus on business topics, which appeal to the entire IMBC audience.

“It is important to hear from the industry when developing the IMBC educational program,” AMI Chair Gary Groenewold, CMM, says. “The proposals we receive help us ensure that the program speaks to our audience.”
