IMTRA NAMED AGENT FOR LIBRA DOORS

IMTRA Libra Door

Nov 20, 2018

IMTRA, manufacturer, supplier and importer of quality marine products, has announced its new relationship with Libra, a Norwegian-based manufacturer of vessel doors, hatches and storage. IMTRA will serve as agent for Libra-brand products across the U.S. except for customers along the Gulf Coast.

Producing spraytight, weathertight and watertight doors for over 60 years, Libra manufactures in steel, aluminum and GRP (composite). All moving parts are made of the highest quality stainless steel. Both exterior and interior doors are created using 3D models for an efficient and precise construction. This method reduces material waste, cuts weight and production time, resulting in an affordable and easy installation. Emergency, flush and standard hatches are designed to seamlessly integrate into vessels whether commercial, recreational or military. Libra also manufactures storage cabinets, containers and automatic doors. Their products meet most common type-approval and vessel classifications.

“Libra is known for delivering exceptional value in the custom and semi-custom marine door space at a pace that outperforms any other competitor in the market,” said Alex Larsen, VP of Commercial Sales, IMTRA. “Being able to offer our shipbuilding customers yet another high-quality product line will position IMTRA as a valuable partner for their next refit or new construction.”

“IMTRA has a solid reputation across the United States for being an attentive and reliable source for quality marine products and their approach mirrors our core values of ‘Protecting People and Values’,” said Einar Pieroth, CEO, Libra-Plast AS. “As our agent, we are confident IMTRA will be able to expand market share for our doors, hatches and storage solutions. With their expansive coverage from the west to east coasts and their close relationships within all facets of the industry from operators, shipyards, naval architects and engineers, we are positive that this will be a long and fruitful partnership.”
