JOIN THE INAUGURAL BOATING BC MARINA SECTOR SEMINAR

In response to a rapidly changing business landscape, new technologies, and challenges facing the marina sector, Boating BC invites you to join the inaugural Boating BC Marina Sector Seminar on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 7pm. This seminar will take place the night prior to the 2017 Boating BC Conference in the Maple Room at the Pacific Gateway Hotel. There is no charge to attend and the event is open to all marina businesses, whether you’re a member of Boating BC or not!

• Brandon Wright, CEO, Barnacle Systems | Introducing Remote Boat Monitoring
• James Copeland, Founder, Swift Harbour | A Revolutionary Way to Book Moorage
• Merritt Alves, Membership Coordinator, Association of Marina Industries | How to Take Advantage of Your AMI Membership
Boating BC President, Don Prittie, and First Vice President & Treasurer, Mike Short will be in attendance to facilitate the seminar, lead the open forum discussions, and answer questions related to membership.

OPEN FORUM DISCUSSION

The evening will offer an opportunity to participate in an open forum to discuss issues facing marinas in BC, including access to water and changes in marina electrical design requirements. If you have a topic or question you would like to discuss at the seminar, please email info@boatingbc.ca.

Be sure to stay and network with fellow members before and after the evening’s sessions! Hors d’oeuvres will be served, sponsored by Barnacle Systems and Swift Harbour and a bar will be made available, sponsored by Boating BC Association.

Duncan Peacock, resident of Kitimat BC and member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63, has been awarded the 12th annual Tim Jones Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Outdoor Community in British Columbia.

Peacock has been a member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63 for 31 years, making him one of the longest-serving members in the province.
