Parkbridge has announced the retirement of marina industry expert and leader, Ken MacDonald.

Ken MacDonald has been a longstanding leader in the Canadian boating and marina industries, with an industry career spanning over 20 years, 10 of those with Parkbridge. As the Director of Operations, Marinas for Parkbridge, Ken has successfully managed and grown the marina business of the company. In February of this year, he was the recipient of the prestigious Joe Killi Award for distinguished service, awarded annually to a Parkbridge employee who has made an exceptional contribution and commitment to the company.

President & CEO Andrew Blair thanked Ken for his years of dedicated service, saying, “Ken’s knowledge of the industry has helped Parkbridge establish a strong presence in the Georgian Bay region. He was a key leader in Parkbridge’s entrance into the marina industry.

“Ken’s big smile and energetic personality will be missed by all who had the good fortune of working with him.”

Ken looks forward to continuing to promote tourism in the local region. He added, “I’m kicking off my retirement with my wife on a cross-continental road trip over the summer and I’m excited to spend more time with my family.”
