“Industry funded and education focused supporting all marine businesses of all sizes”

In 2018 Boating Ontario launched the MarineWorx Development Fund which supports the advancement of Ontario’s marine workforce by providing funds to both new and existing talent in the boating industry.  Funding is available on the technical side of our trade as well as marina management and dealer sales professionalism programs. In addition, MarineWorx aims to help members in their recruitment efforts by increasing the quantity and quality of young enthusiastic talent. MarineWorx was developed to help address the workforce shortages that the boating industry has been facing as the shortage expands from not only marine technician shortages but shortages on all specialized positions such as parts and service advisors, sales professionals among others.

Boating Ontario members have seen over 45 staff directly benefit from MarineWorx funding. At the same time, the over $15,000 provided for education support has served to advance knowledge, training and staff retention in all areas. We gratefully acknowledge and thank industry sponsors and MarineWorx contributors for their support.

Boating Ontario member businesses can take advantage of funds through MarineWorx with a simple application form.  Funding is available for programs at Georgian College, Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA), Association of Marina Industries (AMI), American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) & Certified Professional Yacht Brokers (CPYB). Gaining access to these funds is easy and starts with a membership with Boating Ontario. Recipients must be must either work for or be referred by a Boating Ontario member and participate in one of the identified programs. For more information visit www.boatingontario.ca .

CMRA

As of July 1st, 2024 the embargo is lifted on the photos and information about Four Winns’ new H9 model and it is stunning!

About a month ago, I traveled to Charlevoix, MI for a special press event to introduce the H9 to a small group of journalists.
