Mercury Marine launched its all-new 3.4L V-6 FourStroke outboard family as well as the 150hp Pro XS and an all-new Mercury Racing sterndrive during the Miami Boat Show. The new engine platform was given an innovation award and praised by the judges and consumers for its styling and features. “We have one intention — to set a new benchmark in the entire marine industry in the eyes of the consumer,” said John Pfeifer, Mercury Marine president.

“We have the ability now to put more horsepower on some of our boats that need it,” said Dave Wallace, Scout Boats senior vice president & COO. “In the past we couldn’t do it because of the weight factor.”
