NAVIGARE YACHTING ADDS BAHAMAS DESTINATION

Navigare Bahamas

Sept 1, 2020

Jesper Rönngard, CEO of Navigare Yachting, announces the addition of a new charter base in the Abacos, The Bahamas, as early as November 2020.

For nearly 20 years Navigare Yachting has become the premiere sailing charter operator in the world, with over 300 yachts in 10 destinations worldwide, from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean and South-East Asia. “Launching Navigare in The Bahamas has been on our minds for a long time”, commented Rönngard. “It’s the natural progression of the expansion we started 6 years ago in the Caribbean to cater to the desires of our charter guests from the Americas”.

Navigare Yachting will be the first major charter fleet to return to Marsh Harbor. “We are committed to being a part of the recovery in the Abacos following the destruction left in the path of hurricane Dorian last year,” Rönngard added. “And we can’t wait to see our charter guests and yacht owners sail the Bahamas with us.”

The Marsh Harbor base is expected to open November 15, 2020 with Phillip Winter General Manager of Navigare Yachting USA overseeing the new project.

Winter has been leading the development of Navigare in the Carribean and the Bahamas for the past two years. “Initially, the base will count 12 sailing catamarans in Marsh Harbor with the capacity to add yachts rapidly. The brand-new docks and facilities will support optimal operations and the comfort of our guests”, explained Winter. “While still expanding our presence in the British Virgin Island, Navigare remains on the lookout for opportunities to offer more sailing options and to accommodate even more boats to meet the growing demand”.

The Tortola base in the British Virgin Islands is expected to reopen on October 15 following its annual closure during the peak of hurricane season.
