NEW DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY AVAILABLE AS PART OF NMMA’S MOU WITH TRANSPORT CANADA

In January, the NMMA announced it was entering a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Transport Canada to ease the process of declaring compliance with Canadian Regulations on NMMA Certified boats and yachts for sale into the Canadian marketplace. As part of the MOU, NMMA Certified boat manufacturers can now provide an NMMA certificate for their certified model alongside a new, abbreviated Declaration of Conformity (DoC), in lieu of the more comprehensive DoC that used to be required. The new DoC has been finalized and is available here.
