NEW ENGLAND BENETEAU DEALERS GEARING UP FOR A STRONG BOAT SHOW

Beneteu Oceanis 35

Beneteau America announced last month that they are increasing their presence by 50% in the Newport International Boat Show, putting on display 16 boats both power and sail for visitors to tour and purchase. The increased presence is a direct result of demand in this market, but also of Beneteau’s conscious effort to continuously invest and introduce new products to the public. This bodes well with the local New England dealers like Cape Yachts of South Dartmouth, MA and Prestige Yacht Sales of Mystic, CT as they get about 20-30% of their sales from the Newport International Boat Show. Thanks to the constant introduction of new products by Beneteau, their sales are not only stronger than the average dealer, but more than 30% of their sales are from products less than 12 months.

“We are so excited about this year’s Newport Boat Show that we wanted to give people a sneak peek into what we have in store,” said Maryline O’Shea, marketing director for Beneteau America. “Beneteau will have something for everyone to come see and enjoy.”

Beneteau America will not only be doubling up their sailboat footprint, but also make a big splash with four different powerboat lines on display . Beneteau’s impressive lineup is certainly a MUST see during in Newport this year:

Sailboats
First 25: The First 25 benefits from the updates made to the First 20 with fresh rigging! It is now equipped with a square-top mainsail, a traveler track on the rear beam, and on option, a North sails kit.

Oceanis 38: A first at the Newport International Boat Show, this 2014 European Yacht of the Year in the Family Cruiser category is a yacht that can be configured from a day sailboat for two to a family cruiser. It is a DAY SAILER, WEEKENDER, CRUISER: the Oceanis 38 adapts to three worlds and evolves to match virtually every need, desire, and lifestyle.

Oceanis 41: With the Oceanis 41, the heart of the Oceanis range has a yacht of incomparable volume and a design with elegant taut lines. Her new generation hull promises comfortable, fast sailing as well as an enormous amount of interior space for a yacht of this size.

Oceanis 45: With its 4 layouts, this yacht adapts to all requirements: from going round the world with 2 or 3 cabins to accommodating large families with 4 double cabins.

Oceanis 48: Understated luxury with an impeccable design, optimized living spaces, and seamlessly integrated functionality. The modern design of the 48, with elegant taut lines of the 2 and 3-cabin versions, is an invitation to quiet relaxation.

Oceanis 55: A yacht with an avant-garde design, a strong character and exceptional seafaring qualities. The interior of the 55 is incredibly bright thanks to the many windows and opening portholes, and offers generous volumes throughout. As for the exterior, it is modern and ahead of its time!

Sense 46: The Sense 46 is an intelligently designed, comfortable boat, providing functionality second to none on a cruising monohull. Prioritizing the enjoyment of life with family and friends, the Sense 46 has two spacious cabins and keeps the general layout that made the concept so successful.

Sense 55: With the Sense 55, Beneteau’s Sense range has reached maturity and become even more relevant. The opening up of the interior and exterior spaces, new access to the sea, overall organization of the boat into subtly linked but independent living areas, hull reducing the heel angle providing seakeeping second to none

Powerboats
Barracuda 7: America’s Premiere at the show this year, this new single-engine 150 to 200 HP outboard, flies along at a top speed of 35 knots. Nothing could be better for following the shoals of fish as they change spots, or getting away for a few hours to explore untamed creeks. Depending on your requirements, there is a choice of a fishing pack, or a ‘well-being’ pack, for a quick comfortable commuting boat.

Barracuda 9: Discover a new way of enjoying cruising and the “fishing” spirit. The choice of the outboard engine for quick travel to fishing sites, a wheelhouse and a simple central console for greater comfort, a modular boat depending on fishing habits and practices makes this a true trend-setter. Available with a flybridge.

Gran Turismo 38: Modern and innovative design, high-performance, luminosity and comfort on board, as well as superior performance and easy handling thanks to the Beneteau patented AirStep® hull design.

Gran Turismo 44: The Gran Turismo 44 offers ideal dimensions for comfort onboardand entertaining with family and friends. Designed for cruising, she combines generous spaces, power and speed, while retaining the sizes that make it so easy to maneuver. The Beneteau patented AirStep® hull design associated with stern drive propulsion (2×370 HP Volvo D6) offers a more comfortable and stable ride, better safety and superior performance… plus easy docking guaranteed with the Joystick control.

Gran Turismo 49: The world of luxury dominates the 49 with layout choices of 2- or 3-cabins, the 49 takes full advantage of the different levels of living spaces with impeccable flow. Thought of in terms of modern architecture, it favors conviviality and superior comfort, and makes the perfect live-aboard thanks to top-notch amenities and equipment, just like at home!

Swift Trawler 34: Of attractive proportions, with a very sea-worthy hull, and plenty of living space, the proven Swift Trawler 34 is designed for the ocean and life at anchor. Her size and clever features make the Swift Trawler 34 very easy to handle, solo or as a couple.

Swift Trawler 44: Built for long-distance cruising, the Swift Trawler 44 is a boat with endless possibilities, while offering the best fuel efficiency in her class. She is at home on all waters and promises to make each destination an unforgettable one.
