NMMA CANADA HOSTS ICOMIA ON TOUR OF BC MARINAS

NMMA Canada

Nov 6, 2017

NMMA Canada President Sara Anghel had the great opportunity to host the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) International Marinas Group (IMG) in British Columbia in October. The IMG meets in various locations for their yearly meetings to destinations where they have opportunities to tour marina facilities learning best practices and new ideas.

The group toured six marinas in the greater Vancouver area and five on Vancouver Island. To achieve this challenging schedule it included gathering and moving the 13 IMG members into five vehicles, two float planes and one ferry ride over the two days! They finished the tours with an all-day IMG meeting at the Vancouver Yacht Club. What an adventure! The next World Marinas Conference will be held in Athens, Greece in October 2018. NMMA Canada sends a special thank you to Don Prittie, President of Boating BC and GM at Canoe Cove Marina for offering his time and efforts to ensure our tours were a great success!
