Executive Director Sara Anghel reports that NMMA Canada has again secured funding from Global Affairs Canada to support the efforts of Canadian recreational marine manufacturers to expand their business internationally. The first mission supported by the grant in this new round was to attend and exhibit at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in Australia. Three Canadian boat manufacturers (Deep Trekker, Canada Metal Pacific Limited and Dock Edge exhibited at the show and Sidewind Marine attended to walk the show and meet with potential new and existing distributors. The show ran from May 25–28.

While there, I also had the opportunity to profile the Canadian market as I was invited to give a speech at the Australian Superyacht & Marine Export conference. The week continued with the annual congress of the International Council of Marine Industry Associations where I represent Canada at a number of meetings. My role is to showcase Canada and to learn from the various committees that meet during the week including the statistics, grow boating and marinas group.
