Oceans Protection Plan Emergency Towing

In their recent Member Newsletter, Boating BC invited readers to be aware and to respond to the Oceans Protection Plan Emergency Towing initiative.

Through the Oceans Protection Plan, Transport Canada and the Canadian Coast Guard are committed to increasing Canada’s emergency towing capacity to rescue vessels in distress and avoid potential marine incidents.
 
Together, they want to hear your views and expertise on areas like:
• Marine emergency towing in Canada.
• What has been working well and what could be improved when it comes to emergency towing in Canada?
• Possible gaps or concerns with Canada’s current emergency towing capacity.
• Long-term solutions and ideas for emergency towing.
