Many businesses have had to be creative and find new ways to offer their services because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Halifax International Boat Show, Moncton Boat Show, and NB Sportsmen & Fly Fishing Show normally take place each winter, but the 2021 editions of these events have been postponed to 2022. In an effort to keep boating and outdoor enthusiasts connected with the show’s dealers and exhibitors, the event organizers have moved to an online platform: The Maritime Boating & Outdoor Digital Marketplace.

Beginning April 14th, anyone with an interest in boating and related outdoor activities is invited to visit the new platform. Users can filter by company name or category, and browse exhibitor listings that include email, website, and social media buttons, photos, videos, product highlights, and special offers and promotions. The platform features a variety of categories including cruisers, pontoons, yachts, marinas, outfitters, sport fishing, docks, accessories, and more. An on-demand seminar series is also being offered.

“We are striving to maintain a connection between the boating and fishing communities and the dealers and companies who provide related products and services,” said Show Manager Scott Sprague. “Consumers have always loved to shop the shows, so we hope that our new Digital Marketplace will help them research products and make decisions about purchasing new equipment for boating, fishing, and other pursuits.”

With outdoor activities booming during the pandemic, the Digital Marketplace offers a way for dealers and exhibitors to reach a broad audience of potential buyers. New exhibitor listings are still being accepted from companies involved in the boating and fishing landscape.

The Digital Marketplace will be available for a limited time– from Wednesday, April 14 through Sunday, May 30. This represents a significantly expanded timeframe from the typical four-day event, and lets users take their time exploring from the safety and comfort of their own home. Boating fans are also encouraged to visit the Halifax and Moncton Boat Shows and the NB Sportsmen Show websites to sign-up for email updates with the most current information as well as an opportunity to win door prizes and other giveaways.
