The DAME (Design Award METS) – the world’s most prestigious design competition for new marine equipment and accessories – is now open for entries. As the organiser of METS, Amsterdam RAI invites this year’s exhibitors to enter their most innovative designs to be judged by an independent, international jury. Exhibitors wishing to submit products for the DAME 2014 should complete the online application by 19 September 2014. -
REC BOAT HOLDINGS DEBUTS NEW 2015 MODELS TO GLOBAL NETWORK OF DEALERS
Rec Boat Holdings presented their model year 2015 products to a worldwide audience of retailers August 12th at their annual dealer meeting. The company held the meeting at their home base of operations in Cadillac, Michigan. The dealer networks for all four of the company’s brands converged on the two-day session. -
2014 EASTER SEALS REGATTA RAISES OVER $159,000
There was sun, sun and fun at last weekend’s National Bank Easter Seals Charity Regatta at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, sponsored by Canadian Yachting magazine. Twenty-one boats participated in the PHRF race with flying sails and no-flying sails divisions, and helped raise $159,000 for Vancouver Easter Seals House. Funds raised by the event support the day-to-day operations of this special place.

NUMBERS UP AT 2014 LAKE UNION BOATS AFLOAT SHOW
Regular attendees at Seattle's 36th annual Lake Union Boats Afloat Show will notice quite a few new attractions this year -from the addition of seminars and in-water docking classes to a new layout, new exhibitors, new food vendors, and entertainment for the kids provided by Disney Radio. First-timers will no doubt be mesmerized by the wide variety of boats on display-from sport boats to sailboats, trawlers to mega yachts and everything in between. This year's show is also notable for having more boats than any time since 2007. The show opens on Wednesday September 10th and continues through Sunday 14th, 2014 and is sponsored by Word Yachts. -
