Performance Boat Club of Canada donates over $140,000, announces 2024 charity events

Performance Boat Club of Canada (PBC), is a not-for-profit corporation with a mission to promote safe and responsible performance boating through education, awareness, and organized boating events. PBC has been committed to having fun on the water and raising money for charity since their inception in 2007. For PBC, safety is a top priority. All members adhere strictly to all safety protocols during their events. Their guiding principle – have fun while staying safe!

With the help and support of the performance boating community, Performance Boat Clubs’ goal is to contribute to local communities through charitable fund-raising activities.

Through generous event sponsors, members and donors, the club was able to donate over $140,000 in 2023. Recipients included Muskoka Discovery Centre Youth Programs, Georgian College Marine Tech Scholarship Fund, Ride for Dad Against Prostate Cancer, make a Wish Foundation and Kawartha Spirit of Christmas.

PBC has announced their event dates for the upcoming year. Mark your calendars and get ready for another season of thrilling boating events, camaraderie, and charitable giving!

1. June 15th, 2024 – Muskoka Lakes, Gravenhurst, Ontario.

2. July 13th, 2024 – Georgian Bay, Midland, Ontario.

3. August 17th, 2024 – Lake Simcoe, Brechin, Ontario.

4. September 14th, 2024 – Rice Lake, Roseneath, Ontario.

5. October 5th, 2024 – Kawartha Lakes, Bobcaygeon, Ontario.

Duncan Peacock, resident of Kitimat BC and member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63, has been awarded the 12th annual Tim Jones Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Outdoor Community in British Columbia.

Peacock has been a member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63 for 31 years, making him one of the longest-serving members in the province.
