PORT CREDIT SPRING BOAT SHOW POSTPONED FOR 2017, RESCHEDULED FOR 2018

The Port Credit Spring Boat Show has been postponed for 2017, with plans to return in 2018. The show, set to celebrate its fourth year from June 2-4, was held at The Credit Village Marina in Port Credit, ON.

Show managers, Canadian Outdoor Sport Shows said this week, that there were a number of logistical reasons for the shows re-scheduling, including the Canada’s 150th celebrations.

Heralded as the official kick-off to the boating season, the Port Credit Spring Boat Show showcased a wide assortment of new and used power and sailboats up to 60 feet; boating related products, accessories & services and live entertainment.

Many marine related services from around Ontario, who supported the show, while disappointed regarding the postponement, have also shared that they are somewhat relieved. Boat sales have been swift this fall and spring, resulting in an unexpected lower spring inventory.

PCSBS 2‘It was a great show for us,’ stated Mike Burns, president of North South Yacht Sales. ‘It didn’t hurt that it was in our backyard, but it was great to see so many of the boat dealers and services from surrounding areas participate and do so well. The more participants – the more successful the show’.

Canadian Outdoor Sport Shows will take the spring and summer to recalibrate and return to negotiations with the City of Mississauga at a later date to start preparations for next year’s show.

The next show is slated to take place June 1 – 3, 2018. For those interested in exhibiting, please contact Canadian Outdoor Sport Shows to book space.
