The global Lithium Battery manufacturer joins The Conservation Alliance to protect and preserve wild places and wildlife by harnessing the collective power of businesses.

RELiON® Battery, a part of the Navico Group, has announced a partnership with The Conservation Alliance, an organization of like-minded businesses whose collective contributions support grassroots environmental organizations. By becoming a business member of The Conservation Alliance, RELiON will be a part of a joint effort to protect and preserve wild places and wildlife. The company will also participate in nominating organizations for grant funding twice each year. Through their global initiative, Limitless Blue™, RELiON focuses on ways to protect and restore the natural places their customers love to explore.

“RELiON Battery is thrilled to become a member of The Conservation Alliance,” said Danielle Ferguson, Brand Marketing Director, RELiON. “This membership is the perfect way to continue to expand our reach with our Limitless Blue® initiative. The Alliance’s mission aligns perfectly with ours and we are looking forward to participating in the grant selection process this fall and continuing to use our business as a force for good.”

The Conservation Alliance was founded in 1989 by outdoor industry leaders Kelty, Patagonia, REI, and The North Face, who shared the goal of increasing outdoor industry support for conservation efforts. The Alliance has contributed over $27 million to grassroots conservation groups throughout North America. Alliance funding has helped save 73 million acres of wildlands; protect 3,580 miles of rivers; stop or remove 37 dams; designate five marine reserves; and purchase 21 climbing areas. The Conservation Alliance follows a very rigorous grant proposal review process to make sure that grants go to organizations that can succeed.

“We are honored to have RELiON as a member company,” said Shoren Brown, interim Executive Director of the Conservation Alliance. “There is no question that RELiON is a force for good in the business world and we look forward to a strong partnership that will multiply the impacts of our individual work on conservation and sustainability.”

In 2020, RELiON launched its global initiative Limitless Blue™, a giveback campaign focused on using business as a force for good. This program involves employee volunteer opportunities, community events, and local nonprofit support through their 1% for the Planet business membership where the company donates 1% of its sales each year to environmental nonprofits. In the past two years, RELiON has partnered with more than 15 nonprofit organizations focusing on issues such as renewable energy, food security, and ocean conservation. Some highlights include providing 6,700 people with clean water for 10 years with Wine to Water, recovering over 1.05 million pounds of surplus produce with Food Forward, and training 70 female entrepreneurs every 15 months through the Kula Project.
