Big News for Parry Sound — Ribbon Cutting for Stanley Boats Expansion!

Stanley Boats Expansion

Aug 5, 2025

At the recent ribbon-cutting ceremony for Connor Industries’ new facility expansion, Graydon Smith, MPP for Parry Sound–Muskoka, spoke about the value Connor Industries’/Stanley Boats brings to the area.

Graydon Smith  said, “I am thrilled that the NOHFC is delivering smart and strategic investments into the area that will create jobs, expand opportunity, and support a business that gives back to its community.”

Smith also reflected on how former MPP Norm Miller introduced him to the Stanley Boats operations in 2022, inspiring a vision of government investment in a company that:

  • Builds high-quality vessels used across North America
  • Creates custom marine manufacturing jobs in Parry Sound
  • Delivers rescue, patrol, and utility boats that serve communities everywhere

Today, we’re thrilled to announce a $400,000 investment from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) — supporting our expansion, new equipment purchases, and job creation right here at Connor Industries / Stanley Boats. Our work continues by creating high-skilled jobs in Parry Sound, expanding capacity to meet global demand for custom-built fire, rescue, and patrol vessels while strengthening the region’s economy through innovation and craftsmanship.

Congratulations to all the teams at Stanley Boats and Connor Industries — your commitment to excellence and community truly made this possible. We’re proud to build locally — and grow with purpose. . . . #StanleyBoats #ConnorIndustries #NOHFC #GovernmentFunding #ParrySound #GrowingTheNorth.
