RS Feva MKII

Feb 6, 2024

The RS Sailing team are excited to head to the National Sailing Programs Symposium (NSPS), February 1-3 at The DeSoto Savannah, GA.

The stand-out event for sailing education in the United States, NSPS is all about sparking conversations between industry representatives. It is led by US Sailing; the National Governing Body for the sport of sailing and one of the leading visionaries within the community. Inspiration, education and skill development are among the many topics explored at the event. Everyone from volunteers and parents to program directors and instructors will be in attendance with a view to knowledge share and support each other on how to run, maintain and improve sailing programs.

RS Sailing will be exhibiting four models from the expansive range. The RS Zest is a firm favorite among sailing schools and summer camps with great versatility teaching for youth sailors and adults. The RS Tera is a single-hander that gets kids hooked on sailing and takes them through from entry level to international competition. And, recently crowned ‘Best Dinghy’ 2024 by Sailing World’s Boat of the Year Awards, the safe, stable and spacious RS Toura will also be on display. Designed to fit up to 7 crew, easy-to-handle and quick to trailer launch, the RS Toura is expected to be a global hit with training centres and families alike.

Last but not least, and making its US Debut at NSPS, the RS Feva MKII will also be on display. A World Sailing Recognised Class and the fastest growing double-handed youth class internationally, the RS Feva is already an international performance pathway dinghy. The MKII model features 9 design upgrades to ensure ease of use, durability and easier maintenance to fortify the future of this ever-growing class.

RS Sailing’s North American Representative Todd Riccardi, is excited to attend. “NSPS is a great time to gather with our friends from all over the country. We learn so much about how they use our boats and we are keen to find out how we can further support sailing clubs around the United States.”

Todd will be joined by Commercial Director Michiel Geerling as well as distributors Zim Sailing, Central Coast Sailing and West Coast Sailing. Several RS dealers will also be in attendance including East Coast Sailboats, US One Design and The Boat Locker. “This event is an opportunity to learn collectively with our many partners who also come to the event,” Todd continues. “Through many conversations and attending as many of the presentations as possible, we leave the event with information that would take years to acquire in just a few days.”

NSPS is a perfect example of collective commitment to advancing the sport of sailing. This year’s three-day event will feature 400+ influential leaders in sailing programs with breakout sessions covering a wide range of topics. ‘Business Development and Leadership’, ‘Innovation, Sustainability and Technology’, and ‘Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility’ are just some of the educational tracks up for grabs. RS Sailing are proud to be a sponsor at NSPS and look forward to catching-up with old friends, collaborating with new friends, and are excited to learn and share at this inspiring event.
