SEA RAY SELECTED AS 2019 TOP PRODUCT BY BOATING INDUSTRY MAGAZINE FOR SPECIAL-EDITION SLX-R 350 OUTBOARD

Sea Ray SLX R 350

May 5, 2019

As one of the newest and most innovative boats in the marine industry, the Sea Ray SLX-R 350 Outboard has been named a 2019 Top Product by Boating Industry. As a first-of-its-kind package of Sea Ray’s brand-new SLX 350 Outboard, the SLX-R features elevated design elements combined with high-performance propulsion and cutting-edge technologies to enhance the boating experience. The award is the latest in a long line of accolades presented to Sea Ray throughout its 60-year history by the most prominent members of the global boating community.

To be selected for the sixth annual Boating Industry’s Top Products list, each product must have been introduced or significantly updated since January 1, 2018. The 2019 Top Products range from accessories to marine engines to boats; services for the marine industry are also included. Hundreds of products and services were nominated, but only 50 were awarded this prestigious honor. Winners were selected for their impact on the industry, product innovation and how the individual product or service advanced its category.

“The Sea Ray SLX-R 350 Outboard was an easy choice as one of this year’s Top Products,” said Adam Quandt, Boating Industry managing editor. “Builders at Sea Ray took all of the luxuries the brand has become known for and made it even better by adding impressive innovations such as quietRIDE™ technology and Dynamic Running Surface™. By throwing in premium finishes, power from Mercury® 400 Racing engines and a multitude of other showcase elements, the SLX-R 350 Outboard is sure to turn heads wherever it is.”

The limited-edition SLX-R, officially launched at the 2019 Miami International Boat Show, delivers a superior ride and handling with a joystick piloting system and NextWave™ innovations. The helm consists of a recessed, sleek glass display with integrated systems for user-friendly control and a seamless connected experience. Technology highlights include an exclusive dash with experience-based software and state-of-the-art displays from Simrad®, Lowrance® and B&G; a Mastervolt

NMEA2000 charging system; and a premier FUSION Marine audio system for the ultimate in technologically advanced sound.

Enhancing the SLX 350 aesthetic, the SLX-R showcases upscale design elements and details including premium carbon fiber accents on the boat’s hardtop arch, special-edition metallic gray gel paint, quality upholstery with contrast stitching, red underwater lighting and red accent lighting throughout. The interior Port Hideaway offers a relaxing area to retreat out of the elements with plush seating, a TV, air-conditioning and other welcome comforts. In addition, a special interior package and personalized paint options are available.

“Sea Ray has had a long and proud reputation of being a premier maker of sport boats and cruisers, and we are honored to have been recognized again by Boating Industry as a 2019 Top Product for the SLX-R 350 Outboard,” said Brad Anderson, Sea Ray president and general manager. “Customer feedback has been incredible since we launched the boat in Miami, and we look forward to continued success of this boat model.”
