SNAME Propeller and Shafting Systems Symposium

The SNAME Technical and Research Program, in cooperation with the Hampton Roads, Virginia section of SNAME, will host the 14th triennial Propeller and Shafting Systems Symposium, September 15-16 at the Waterside Marriott & Convention Center in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Symposium is an opportunity for ship owners, operators, builders and designers, together with the research community, to explore and discuss the latest developments in marine propellers and their associated shafting systems.

Topics to be covered in 15 technical papers to be presented during the Symposium include stern tube bearings and seals, composite materials, propulsion shaft alignment, vibrations and hydrodynamic loading on propulsors.
