VOLVO PENTA STRENGTHENS MARINE LEISURE SALES TEAM IN U.S.

Volvo Penta

Volvo Penta today announced two key appointments to solidify its marine leisure sales team. The company has appointed Tony Kelleher as director, marine leisure sales, Region Americas and Rick Richert as regional sales manager.

Kelleher, who has been with Volvo Penta since 2006, will be responsible for managing strategic direction and sales of Volvo Penta gas and diesel engines in the leisure marine segment for North America and the Caribbean, with emphasis on day-to-day operations including programs, plans, budgets and overseeing the growing sales team.

Richert, who has 22 years of experience with Volvo Penta, will be responsible for growing Volvo Penta’s market share in boats exported from the U.S. He will work with North American OEMs to identify international dealer prospects, mapping global gas dealer distribution and helping Volvo Penta colleagues around the world harmonize and align the global boat-selling experience. Richert will report directly to Tony Kelleher, director, marine leisure sales, Region Americas.

“These appointments will foster leisure engine sales growth for Volvo Penta as well as strengthen our sales organization,” said Marcia Kull, vice president, marine sales, North America. “They’re part of our ongoing efforts to improve our sales and customer service team across the Americas and worldwide.”
