Zhik is pleased to announce an innovative extension to its partnership with the Canada SailGP Team to include distribution of its full range of products in Canada. The dynamic, ground-breaking technical sailing gear brand has appointed CSGP Distribution as its exclusive distributor of Zhik throughout the country.

CSGP Distribution, a subsidiary of the Canada SailGP Team, will handle all promotion and commercialization of the Zhik brand within the Canadian marine sector, yacht club, team sales and sporting goods retail. Robust plans are also in place for Zhik’s Canadian e-commerce and other direct-to-consumer channels.

As part of this agreement, Zhik has also endorsed two of Sail Canada’s 49FX athletes, Georgia and Antonia Lewin-LaFrance. The duo are the first two Canadians to represent Zhik and will be wearing Zhik gear as part of their Olympic training with their sights set on Paris 2024.

Mat Belcher Zhik CEO Credit SailGPScott Prunier, Head of Zhik Canada explains “After news got out that the Canada Sail GP Team had partnered with Zhik, many within the sailing community expressed how it was one of the top brands out here, although found it difficult to purchase in Canada. We saw an immediate opportunity to leverage what we’re doing with the team to help propel Zhik in Canada and so CSGP Distribution was born. We’re excited for this opportunity to represent Zhik and look forward to our official first season in spring 2023.”

“We are delighted to be partnering with CSGP Distribution. Canada is an important region for Zhik and one where we’ve yet to get fully established.” adds Mat Belcher, Zhik CEO. “The Canadian SailGP Team have impressed us with their passion for inspiring others and their incredible entrepreneurial spirit for getting things done. We look forward to working with the GSGP Distribution team and learning about this exciting market.”
