The International Marina and Boatyard Conference (IMBC) has added a Hurricane Recovery Forum to its 2018 conference agenda. The two-hour session, scheduled for Friday, February 2, 2018, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, LA, will close out the two-day conference.

The forum will focus on hurricane recovery efforts and risk management with topics covering employee and electrical safety, insurance claims, design and engineering and federal disaster loans. The session will also include lessons learned and a firsthand account of the recovery of a local marina devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

“Although our agenda was complete, we knew this was a topic that had to be addressed, given the historical storms we have experienced this year,” said AMI Chair, Brad Gross, CMM. “Our goal is to provide our industry with information from industry-leaders to help them successfully and safely deal with their recovery efforts.”
