Registration is brisk for the annual Marine Fabricators Conference, which will be held Jan. 9-11, 2020, on the sunny shores of Daytona Beach, Fla. The conference features three full days of education and networking designed to help marine fabricators cultivate industry connections, improve their efficiency and increase revenue. Educational sessions include upholstery methods, photo digitizing, succession strategies, pricing strategies and more.
Attendees have numerous opportunities to connect with fabricators and suppliers including the NASCAR/Biker-themed Costume Party, the packed exhibitor show floor and the formal Closing Dinner and Awards event. New events this year include exhibit hours moving from Friday to Thursday, live product and technique demonstrations inside the exhibit hall, an offsite shop tour at RCM Fabric Products and a special education session featuring live installation of multiple projects on a 14-foot Budsin Lightning Bug.
The marine industry “speed dating” roundtables are a popular MFA conference event.
“Every time I come to a conference I learn something new,” said long-time fabricator, Victoria Babylon, during the 2019 conference. “I spent three hours on the show floor schmoozing and picking up freebies. I was also able to be hands-on with some of the new products and tools I’m interested in,” she added.
Hotel rooms are already 80% full. For full details about registering, exhibiting and booking a hotel, visit IFAI.com/MarineConference.

Televisions on a boat are increasingly commonplace. With the simple-to-install Glomex Avior VT300 Omnidirectional TV/FM antenna from GA Communications, it's never been easier to bring analog and digital broadcasts onboard—at a price that's hard to ignore.
The most noticeable feature of the Avior VT300 antenna is its compact white, anti-yellowing radome. At only 4" dia. x 8" H and 8.8 oz., it's specifically made for smaller boats that can't accommodate large TV antenna domes and only need short range reception, depending on height and conditions. The amplifier allows the antenna to have an increase in gain with a 24.5 dB average to receive vertical and horizontal polarized TV signals simultaneously from 360°.
