Dream Yacht CharterDream Yacht Charter has launched free internships for budding marine mechanics, dock team, skippers and hostesses as part of its Dream Yacht Academy in Key West, Florida. Interns who graduate successfully to the expected standard will be offered a job at one of the company’s bases worldwide, including four in the USA.

The internships, which are open to suitable applicants with relevant experience, last four weeks and are held at the company’s base at Stock Island Yacht Club & Marina. These internships will give graduates everything they need to take their first step in the charter industry. There is no cost to interns for the training and they are provided with free accommodation and have an expenses allowance for the duration.

Marine mechanics will learn how to service and maintain the company’s fleet and the first internship starts on February 18. Dock team interns will learn the check-in process, chart briefing procedures and customer service - the first enrolment is scheduled for March 29. The skipper and hostess programs are coming soon.

Dream Yacht Charter Founder and President, Loïc Bonnet, said: “Due to our continued expansion in the US, we have an increasing demand for skilled staff. At the moment, we know that many people are changing their careers right now and it’s a great opportunity to join the exciting charter industry.

“It’s important to us that our staff share our values, attention to detail, and customer service excellence. Our staff is a vital asset in this industry and central to our success, which is why we are making this significant investment. With our unrivaled worldwide presence and the opportunity a career at Dream Yacht Charter represents, this is an incredibly exciting chance for the right people with a passion for sailing, travel and adventure.
