Students can expect a mix of classroom and on-board learning utilizing the ABYC Foundation’s “living classroom”, a 38 foot Californian Convertible. Students will inspect the vessel, evaluate it for compliance with ABYC Standards, and present recommendations to the class.

Course Highlights:
• Gain an in-depth understanding of the ABYC Standards
• Learn how to apply the standards to older boats
• Learn how to identify and document compliance issues, cite appropriate standards, and make detailed recommendations for resolution of the issues, whether for insurance underwriters, boat owners or boat buyers.
“The course wasn’t just power point presentations, I enjoyed getting out of the classroom and being hands on with what we were learning” – course participant
