Marine service managers face unique challenges in their day-to-day operations. They need industry-specific training to build capacity and capability in their companies. 

Quadrant Marine Institute is holding a Marine Service Manager Training & Certification course starting this October 2022.

This is not just a seminar where you sit and listen. In a series of hands-on workshops, you collaborate with industry partners and mentors to design the exact tools you need to succeed. The program works hard to make sure what you learn is relevant and ready to implement as soon as you get back to work. 

 

Location & Dates:

Fall 2022 course location: Sidney, BC

Self-paced online learning prior to workshops. Opens at registration.

• Week 1 Workshops: Friday, Oct. 28, – Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022
• Week 2 Workshops: Friday, Nov. 4, – Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022
• Week 3 Workshops: Friday, Nov. 25, – Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022

Details:

MSM training has 4 phases:

1. Online learning of foundational topics: These modules are self-paced and must be completed by the start of the first workshop.
2. 3x Friday/Saturday activity-based workshops: Over 6 days of in-person training, you learn to apply the foundational topics to real-world situations.
3. 2-3 months at work: This is your time to create, implement and evaluate processes specific to you and your role with your company.
4. Competency conversation & certification: A review of the processes you implemented during your time back at work.

Total time for full certification: 4-5 months.

• 6 days of workshops, supplies, and lunches (local restaurant, your choice from the menu)
• Structured mentoring program with industry experts
• Competency assessments
• Certificate of Professional Competency framed and delivered upon successful completion
• Preferred registration to ongoing professional development courses

Alongside their Marine Service Manager Training & Certification (MSM), they also offer a Marine Service Technician Apprenticeship & Certification (MST)
