Sail Canada and Canadian Yachting to launch a new joint bimonthly newsletter

Sail Canada and Canadian Yachting Media will join forces to reach and connect more members of the broader Canadian sailing community by launching a new joint newsletter. And 2022 will start on a strong note, as the first edition of this newly-created newsletter called “Sailing in Canada” will be sent out on Wednesday, January 5th.
Issued twice monthly, on the first and third Wednesday of every month, “Sailing in Canada” will bring to Canadian sailors, in one single publication, a bigger and broader look at what is going on in all areas of Canadian sailing — Only Sail, and Canadian all the way.
“Sailing in Canada” will include everything for every type of Canadian sailor, including fresh news from Canadian racers, updates on new sailing technology, new courses across the country, advice from many experts who will be sharing their insights on sails, tactics, rules, cruising and performance, and much more!
From children and youth who sail in Optimists to experienced cruising sailors, from clubs and marinas to National Team members, from club racing to international regattas, from racing officials and volunteers to offshore sailors and everything in between, including Kite Foiling; “Sailing in Canada” will cover the waterfront and everything for every Canadian sailor. “Sailing in Canada” will bring together sailors from everywhere in the country, a growing community as more sailors are discovering the joys and opportunities offered by our many Canadian lakes and coastal waters.
“This partnership will allow Sail Canada, the country’s sailing authority, to broaden its reach not only to racing sailors, instructors, officials, event managers and others working to develop the sport in Canada, but also to all sailing enthusiasts who enjoy getting on their boats with their families on weekday evenings and on weekends,” said Sail Canada’s Chief Executive Officer, Don Adams. “With Canadian Yachting, we look forward to sharing all the great news about our programs and initiatives, as well as about our Canadian sailors who proudly represent the country around the world in international competitions.”
The editorial and production team has a wealth of experience and is comprised of top Canadian contributors such as Penny Caldwell, rules authority Andrew Alberti, ultimate sailing photographer Sharon Green and two-time World Shark champion Keven Piper. International authority Dave Dellenbaugh will deliver the Speed & Smarts content along with many more top sailing veterans and a fleet of newcomers. The in-house pros include a team of sailors led by editor John Morris as well as by publisher and Olympian John Kerr.
