Aquila Catamarans Announces Two Exciting Debuts at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025

October 28, 2025

Aquila Catamarans will present two model debuts at the 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, taking place from October 29 to November 2: the global debut of the Aquila 36 Molokai and the Americas debut of the Aquila 46 Yacht. The company will also display the 54 Yacht, 50 Yacht, 47 Molokai, and 42 Coupe.

Global Debut: Aquila 36 Molokai

The Aquila 36 Molokai makes its worldwide debut as a purpose-built fishing platform that sets itself apart in the 36-foot catamaran segment. Building on the acclaimed success of the 47 Molokai, this vessel delivers serious offshore capability with a level of comfort and versatility rarely found in fishing boats of this size.

What distinguishes the 36 Molokai from other center console fishing catamarans is its thoughtfully designed cabin with private head—a feature that transforms the boat’s capabilities. This cabin space can be air-conditioned via an optional off-grid lithium battery package, allowing anglers to extend single-day trips into overnight adventures and providing a comfortable retreat for family members during longer outings. The cabin also features side hull windows for natural light and ventilation.

The 36 Molokai’s design prioritizes both fishing functionality and all-around usability. A single-level deck with no step-up at the bow provides unobstructed movement, while the central walkthrough at the transom features an excellent diving ladder for easy water access. The standard side tuna door, leaning post with bait prep station, and abundant seating throughout make the boat equally capable for serious fishing or entertaining family and friends.

Protected helm seating accommodates three people comfortably, while the full walk-around capability in front of the engines ensures anglers can move freely from one side to the other. Integrated steps via the aft pillars provide easy access to the carbon fiber hardtop, which is structurally engineered to support an optional fishing tower without additional reinforcement. The twin-hull design delivers the stability and ride quality that catamaran anglers expect, enhanced by double-stepped hulls for improved performance.

“The 36 Molokai represents our vision for what a modern fishing catamaran should be,” said Jean Raas, CEO and Chief Product Officer of Aquila USA. “We worked closely with Peart Yacht Design on the engineering, but the core concept came from understanding what anglers really need—a boat that can fish hard but also adapt as a versatile platform for family use or even as a yacht tender. The cabin and head space is what really sets us apart in this segment.

Americas Debut: Aquila 46 Yacht

Following its successful global debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, the Aquila 46 Yacht makes its Americas premiere. This latest addition to Aquila’s expanding fleet balances luxury and performance, combining cutting-edge design with proven catamaran engineering to offer enhanced stability, spacious living areas, and exceptional fuel efficiency.

The 46 Yacht features thoughtfully designed entertainment spaces, premium accommodations, and the latest marine technology, making it ideal for extended cruising and sophisticated entertaining. The vessel’s impressive 23’3″ beam creates interior volume that rivals considerably larger vessels. Available in three, four, or five-cabin configurations to perfectly match individual cruising preferences, the 46 Yacht embodies Aquila’s innovative DNA—the 4-cabin version features convertible design that adapts to an owners 3-cabin layout as plans evolve.

“The Aquila 46 Yacht represents our commitment to bringing larger yacht innovation to a more accessible platform,” said Jean Raas. “This yacht delivers the spaciousness, capability, and luxury our customers expect from Aquila, while maintaining the intimate scale that makes it perfect for couples or smaller groups seeking premium experiences on the water.”

Alain Raas, Aquila Global Brand Director, adds, “We’re excited to showcase both the 36 Molokai and 46 Yacht at Fort Lauderdale. These models demonstrate our visionary approach to power catamaran design—whether it’s reimagining what a fishing platform can be or bringing yacht-level innovation to a more intimate size. Fort Lauderdale provides the perfect stage to introduce both vessels to the American boating community.”

Visitors to the Aquila booth will have the exclusive opportunity to be among the first in the Americas to experience these remarkable new models, alongside an impressive display of Aquila’s power catamaran fleet. Aquila’s expert team will be on hand to provide comprehensive tours, detailed specifications, and personalized consultations to help customers discover which Aquila best suits their boating lifestyle.
