Marquis M42Almost 20-years ago, Marquis Yachts impacted the sport yacht category by bringing European stylings and design influence to the United States with the introduction of the Marquis Yachts 59.  Once again, Marquis Yachts will do the same with the introduction of the new Marquis and the Marquis M42 day boat when it makes its global debut at the 2019 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show.

“There are many brands and companies that are calling their boats “day boats” but those are more related to how owners’ are now using their boats today, as opposed to the form and shapes inspired by the styles found along the Cote d’Azur or the destinations and islands that dot the Med,” said Rob Parmentier, President & CEO of Marquis Yachts.

The Marquis M42 will certainly make an impression while at rest, but is sure to make an impression cruising from place to place with twin 6.7 Cummins inboard diesel engines or a triple outboard configuration model to be available next summer.  The resin infused hull is engineered to meet the varied demands of the owner – confident turning at speed, shallow draft for those times and areas that require it and performance that makes your hair go back.
The coup de grace of the M42 is the cockpit.  The cockpit is all about entertaining with a dance floor amount of space.  Seating or sunbathing spots are abundant, from the large aft facing sunbed, oversized starboard U-shaped seating arrangements for up to eight adults with a large fixed table.

The starboard entertainment center with sink has the accommodations to add options such as a grill, ice maker and refrigerator for a relaxing day out on the water or to throw the perfect “party.”  Add the optional hydraulic swim platform (inboard power only) that entertaining and dance floor was just made even bigger.  And to keep the sun in check, choose an optional hardtop or Bimini top.

For those times when you need to get out of the sun or step away from the action, the cabin is a refreshing respite.  Behind the locking sliding cabin door, a galley with microwave, refrigerator, sink and storage is just down a couple steps making it easy to access items for times when the cockpit entertainment center is host to a party.  Forward is a large U-shaped seating configuration with table that converts to a queen-sized berth.  The theme of space on the M42 includes the use of a dedicated shower stall in the head.  With more than 6.5-feet (2.0 m) of headroom hull side windows and tonal-colored surfaces and accents the cabin feels larger than it is.

Whether it is the striking profile, aggressive ax shaped bow, on-water performance, spacious and comfortable cabin accommodations or the dance floor sized cockpit, the M42 is ready to welcome guests at the 2019 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show, October 30 – November 3, 2019.  A press event will be held on Wednesday, October 30th at 2:00p to introduce the M 42 to the media.
