Dockmate RED M2EDockmate®, manufacturer of advanced wireless remote-control systems for yachts, has announced that its new RED M2E has been named one of Boating Industry’s 2023 Top Products.

To be eligible for consideration, products or services must have been introduced or significantly updated since January 2022. With hundreds of well-qualified submissions from manufacturers across every segment of the industry for consideration, selecting top products was no easy task for the Boating Industry editorial team. The winning products were chosen based on many factors such as their impact on the industry, innovation and how they advanced their category. The Dockmate submission included substantial innovation in both the system’s hardware and software components.

“We are very excited to accept this recognition from the distinguished team at Boating Industry,” said Marc Curreri, CEO, Dockmate U.S. “Dockmate has helped hundreds of customers with electronic controls, freeing them from being confined to helm. We are constantly trying to expand on Dockmate’s technology. We felt it equally important for us to create a solution for the older boat market. Retro-fitting your older vessel with Dockmate is an easy way to get more enjoyment out of your vessel, while easing the stress of your ownership experience. We are grateful that Dockmate RED M2E has been recognized for the innovation and value it provides to boaters.”

Owners of boats have suffered for years being stuck behind the helm where visibility is poor, making docking more stressful than it needs to be. Realizing this dire situation is not exclusive to newer boats, Dockmate became intent on providing a viable solution, Dockmate developed a product that makes the connection from a mechanical to a wireless remote control system inexpensive and simple.

A new, affordable wireless remote control product for conversion upgrades on older boats, the Dockmate RED M2E makes installations simple enough that it can be owner installed. This new product offers boat owners with mechanical and hydraulic controls the ability to install and get the same benefit from a Dockmate wireless remote control system, that the new high tech boats are allowed. It is also priced sensibly to align with the market value of its boating audience.

The Dockmate RED M2E system is offered for single and twin-engine boats and it comes pre-configured to control the engine(s) at idle speed, and the thruster(s) in an on/off mode. There is an upgrade option available to control the windlass.

Measuring approximately 3 x 6 x 1 ½ inches, the Dockmate RED M2E wireless remote control weighs a mere 5-ounces. This durable remote is IP67 waterproof-rated, ideal for the harsh marine environment. It has an impressive range of over 165 feet and its extended battery life gives users more than two hours of maneuvering between charges.
