DRY INTAKE AIR BOOSTS PERFORMANCE, DIMINISHES CORROSION

Delta Moisturizer Eliminators

Dec 15, 2020

Not removing moisture and salt spray from marine engine intake air can cause a decrease in fuel burn rate and an increase in combustion duration. This opens the door to poor ignition and potential misfires. Innovative Delta “T” Systems Moisture Eliminators are uniquely designed to detach moisture particles from the air so the engine can deliver optimal performance. Plus, by lowering humidity, the potential for damage-causing corrosion is diminished.

A key element in a properly engineered engine room ventilation system, Moisture Eliminators feature a series of vertical vanes mounted inside a plenum box. As moist air flows through it, water particles down to ten microns in size, or even smaller, are filtered out. It’s so effective—a 97% removal rate—that it functions even during periods of driving rain. Collected liquid coalesces into larger droplets that then drain out of the unit.

Whether for a yacht or workboat, Delta “T” Moisture Eliminators are offered in a wide range of white or black standard rectangular sizes, as well as custom dimensions. Particularly ideal as a refit solution to an underperforming propulsion system, they’re also available in heated and chilled versions for use in extreme temperature conditions. With a choice of PVC or aluminum construction, Delta “T” offers custom sizes and shapes to fit any application or budget.
