Capria CraneWeekends and beautiful weather mean one thing for drystack marina staff: the non-stop moving of boats. With a CAPRIA semi-automated crane system, vessels can go from rack to water in a fraction of the time it takes a forklift—less than three minutes with a CAPRIA launcher—and with a reduced potential for accidents.

CAPRIA Top-Running Cranes utilize an overhead gantry, while Bottom-Running Cranes run on rails set just outside the racks. With both, the operator is always at fork-level in an anti-fall cabin, so there's little chance of bumping a boat or pulling it off center. Unlike forklifts that rely on a level, paved surface, the CAPRIA solution can be installed without a constructed floor. They also don't have to maneuver around obstacles as a forklift does, making the process far safer. A video is at bit.ly/CAPRIA.

CAPRIA cranes are CE-marked and manufactured to ISO 9001 standards. They can be built to accommodate vessels up to 48' and 33,000 lbs. Fully electric, they're quiet and fume-free for a pleasant, eco-friendly working environment.

Ideal for new construction or retrofitting into an existing drystack facility, the CAPRIA solution is compact to allow for narrower aisles. Plus, it can reach higher than most forklifts, so more boats can be stored in a building with the same size footprint. This better use of square footage has a serious financial benefit to marina owners.

Top-Running and Bottom-Running Cranes work in tandem with a CAPRIA Front, Lateral or Rotary Launcher. The optimal ratio is one crane and two launchers per 250–300 boats. Highly efficient and configurable, a launcher model will accommodate virtually any waterfront scenario, including extremely narrow channels. A video is atbit.ly/CAPRIA2.

CAPRIA S.A. has manufactured precision heavy machinery for over 50 years and marine systems for over 20 years. With low-cost drystack installations around the world, it has a proven record of improving profits for its customers. The Buenos Aires, Argentina-based company has representatives in the U.S. and Canada.
