Standpipe Drain Bundle solves installation woes

Flow-Rite Standpipe Drain

Dec 6, 2021

Unlike some plumbing solutions that require two holes to be drilled in a livewell, the Flow-Rite 1-1/8″ Standpipe Drain Bundle needs only one. It serves as both the overflow as well as a unique overboard drain that can be opened without reaching down into the water. Made in the USA, the bundle contains everything needed to install, including two fast and easy Qwik-Lok™ connectors.

The base of the Standpipe Drain Bundle is uniquely engineered. By turning the top of the rugged PVC standpipe, the tube unthreads to reveal integrated bleeder holes. This allows full draining without having to remove the standpipe and reach down into the water, or underneath the livewell, to turn a valve. The 12″ standpipe can be cut to optimize the water level.

Flow-Rite’s Standpipe Drain Bundle also includes 6′ of 1-1/8″ hose and a pair of straight Qwik-Lok sockets. Mounted to the hose ends, one connector slides onto the elbow of the standpipe base and the other, the thru-hull. Fully watertight, they’re secured with latching arms and locking rings. This allows the hose to be installed and connected one-handed. Plus, if the need should arise, it’s easily removable. The Flow-Rite 1-1/8″ Standpipe Drain Bundle (MB-001) costs $72.99 USD.
