Feb 21, 2022For most boat owners, two things come to mind when they think about chocks. The first is that they're perfect for leading lines across a deck to avoid rubbing gelcoat or putting strain on a rail or stanchion. The second is that they stub toes, catch sail sheets and fishing lines, and detract from a clean sheer. Accon Marine Flush-Mount Chocks offer the ideal solution.
Retracted into their base, they provide a smooth, clutter-free appearance; when needed, they quickly pull up ready for use.
Accon Flush-Mount Chocks are manufactured from polished marine-grade 316 stainless steel. They're offered in 4-1/2" and 6" sizes for 5/8" and 3/4" lines, respectively. Each is available individually as a straight chock for use on the stern, and as a pair of angled port and starboard bow chocks.
Installing Flush-Mount Chocks is simple with everyday tools. Each chock includes a cut-out template. The 4-1/2" model has a 4-5/8" L x 1-1/2" W base that surface mounts with two #10 screws. The 6-1/8" L x 2-3/4" W base of the 6" version fastens with two 1/4" screws.
Suggested retail prices for Accon Marine Flush-Mount Chocks are $168.50 USD for a set of 4-1/2" port and starboard angled chocks (model 500) and $84.25 USD for the 4" straight stern chock (501-4). The 6" versions are $258.42 USD (model 500-6) and $129.21 USD (501-6). Folding models are also available.
