New JBL Marine Stereo has bold, fresh look

JBL Marine Stereo

June 13, 2022

With a bold, fresh look and key features, the new JBL-R4500 is the latest in the WAKE Series of stereo components from ProSpec Electronics. Engineered for outdoor audio performance and built to withstand a harsh marine environment, the mechless source unit delivers immersive, audiophile-quality sound.

The large, full-color 4″ LCD screen on the WAKE JBL-R4500 displays an easy-to-use layout with bold iconography. Controlled by a raised five-way push button and large rotary tuner, navigation is fast and intuitive. It’s NMEA 2000-ready for quick integration into an existing network. It’s also wired for easy connection to an Infinity INF-REM1 or Milennia MIL-REM80 remote.

Engineered to master AM/FM and weather band tuning, the WAKE JBL-R4500 features exceptionally fast Bluetooth® BT5.0 with ID streaming and over 100′ connectivity. Aux-in and USB with charging inputs provide a wide range of playback options. Dimmable lighting delivers readability in any setting.

Because the WAKE JBL-R4500 was designed for outdoor use, it’s not shy of volume. The built-in amplifier blasts 4×55 peak @ 4 ohms. But even with the tunes cranked, sound reproduction is clean and accurate.

Two-ohm stable, the WAKE JBL-R4500 will power up to eight 4-ohm speakers without an additional amplifier. Three sets of line level differentials will control left, right and sub for each zone.

The IPX7 weatherproof WAKE JBL-R4500 can be flush- or back-mounted. The faceplate is 6-7/16″ L x 3″ W and 3/8″ D; the chassis measures 4-1/4″ D x 5-1/8″ W x 2″ H. If flush mounted, the optional silicone rubber UV cover protects the stereo.
