MIKE DOWNEY NAMED DIRECTOR OF QUALITY CONTROL FOR GROUPE BENETEAU, CADILLAC

Groupe Beneteau, Cadillac Operations is pleased to announce Mike Downey as the new Director of Quality Control. Mike’s extensive career within the marine industry only reinforces our companywide commitment to maintaining a Best in Class quality control procedure and practice. Beginning his career in 1988, Mike spent over 16 years with Four Winns boats. Prior to this new role, Mike operated as a Senior OEM Application Engineer for the engine manufacturer Volvo Penta since 2004.

Mike will report directly to Christophe Lavigne, President US Brands while holding our first-class demand for precision and diligence throughout every product’s build cycle. Impressed with what’s to come, Christophe values this as a strong step towards the future. “Mike is exposed to the best practice in our field, and I am convinced he will be a strong asset for our company,” noted Lavigne.

Mike will base in Cadillac, MI and is ready to take on his new role in stride. “This is a great, new opportunity with Groupe Beneteau, and I’m excited to work with the amazing team my career began with,” said Downey. Going forward, Mike will have an essential role within our company, and we are eager to see the success this partnership brings to the Four Winns, Glastron, Scarab, and Wellcraft boat brands.
