Dometic Marine promotes Ray Wong to Vice President, Technology & Product Development

Leading marine industry innovator Dometic Marine has promoted industry veteran Ray Wong to the pivotal position of Vice President, Technology & Product Development. Wong has been with the company for more than two decades, helping to develop many of its award-winning products.

“Today, more than ever, success in the marine industry is defined by developing exciting new products and pioneering new technologies,” said Dometic Marine President Eric Fetchko. “Boats are technologically advancing every day, and customers have increased expectations It is an exciting time for the industry, and precisely why we need a strong and experienced person like Ray leading our technology team,” added Fetchko.

In this expanded role, Wong will be charged with growing Dometic Marine’s business both organically and by assisting on key acquisitions around the world. He will continue to report directly to Fetchko, while working in support of Dometic Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) initiatives across segments, for the benefit of what the company calls “One Dometic.”

Wong joined the team in June of 2000 as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer. Over the ensuing 20-plus years, has been directly involved with developing some of Dometic Marine ‘s most innovative products and patented intellectual properties.

“Ray will continue to work closely with our Product Management and Business Development teams to help ensure Dometic Marine’s tradition of innovation, product expansion and market leadership. This is an exciting time for the industry and Dometic Marine, and we are grateful to have Ray guiding our ongoing product development efforts,” added Fetchko.
