GROUPE BENETEAU ANNOUNCES ERWIN BAMPS’ APPOINTMENT AS CEO OF PRESTIGE

On November 1st, 2018 Erwin Bamps joined the Groupe as CEO of Prestige, reporting to Jean-Paul Chapeleau.

With a Masters in electronics engineering, 49-year old Dutch-speaking Belgian national, Erwin Bamps started his career in Asia with a Belgian electronics engineering firm before moving to Dubai in 1998 and then to the Philippines on behalf of a Chinese telecommunications conglomerate. In 2002 he joined Gulf Craft, which builds luxury yachts and fiberglass boats, to head up its industrial and commercial operations, before quickly becoming its CEO. Over the last 16 years, he has been a key driving force behind this motor yacht builder development, especially in the Middle East and Asia.

Created over 20 years ago, Prestige is present worldwide thanks to its network of 200 dealers and its 13 motor yachts ranging from 42 to 75 feet. The brand is widely recognized in Europe and North America. Erwin Bamps will lead its development in the Middle East and Asia, while continuing to strengthen its luxury position across all the markets.
