VOLVO PENTA NAMES LARS LJUNGSTRÖM AS VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE AND CFO

Lars Ljungström has been appointed to vice president of finance and chief financial officer (CFO) for Volvo Penta of the Americas, effective July 2017.

Ljungström will provide strategic leadership over finance, planning, budgeting and reporting for North, South and Central America and the Caribbean. He will also oversee coordination of IT systems and services, as well as legal and sales operations.

Prior to this appointment, Ljungström was CFO at GKN Aerospace Engine Systems, where he was responsible for finance and IT, internal control compliance activities and implementation of financial policies and procedures, and played a key role in the Systems Applications Products roll out across sites.

Ljungström has also served as controller and held other positions within Volvo Penta and the Volvo Group.

Originally from Sweden, Ljungström holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg.
