Compact speaker has matching small price

RiverPark Marine Milennia S3501

Jan 2, 2024

Many small stereo speakers sound tinny and lack the sound pressure level (SPL) to overcome the various noises on a boat. But not the 3–1/2″ Milennia S3501 from RiverPark Marine, formerly ProSpec Electronics. The high-performance mid-range speaker fits into the tightest spaces, produces rich, high-end audio and has a price tag that matches its compact size.

The Milennia S3501 is IPX5-rated watertight. This makes it ideal as a primary speaker in smaller boats where splashing is common or as the wetter part of a more extensive audio system. Used singly, it’s also perfect as a dedicated VHF speaker.

Featuring 25W RMS, 75W peak power, the Milennia S3501 from RiverPark Marine has a frequency response of 55Hz–20kHz. With 4 ohms impedance, sensitivity is 89dB at 2.83V/1M. This delivers the big, full-range sound and tonal balance the Milennia brand is known for.

Because its graphite grille is only 4″ in diameter, the Milennia S3501 is easy to fit into spaces other speakers can’t. It requires a 3″ hole and a mere 1–1/2″ of depth. An integrated gasket makes installation a breeze. Ideal for refit and OEM use alike, the Milennia MIL-S3501 from RiverPark Marine costs $59.95 USD / pair.
