NMMA’s complete 2021 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract is now available for member download on nmma.org. The report spans 2008-2021, with data and insights on trends in industry growth and shifts in market behavior. Sections include: Total Industry Sales by Category and State; Powerboat Sales Trends; Cruiser, Watersport, Fishing Boat and Trailer Sales Trends; Sailboat Sales Trends; Outboard Engine Sales Trends; and more.

2021 Abstract insights include: 

• Total recreational marine expenditures reached a high of $56.7 billion in 2021.
• Sales of new powerboats totaled 218,868 units in 2021, the second highest unit total in the last 14-year period.
• For the second time in the last 14 years, pre-owned boat sales exceeded one million.
