Shipments of new powerboats up 23% according to NMMA February 2021 Monthly Shipment Report

Powerboat Shipments Up

May 18, 2021

NMMA’s Monthly Shipment Report (MSR) has been updated with February 2021 data, which shows wholesale shipments of new powerboats up 23% compared to the 2020 average, and up 9% compared to the 2019 average. Month over month, new powerboat shipments increased 19% in February to approximately 25,000 new units, thanks to a boost in the high-volume personal watercraft segment and a rebound from a slower January.

NMMA’s MSR tracks industry wholesale shipments of outboard motors, boats, sterndrives, inboards, personal watercraft, jet drive boats, canoes, and trailers and is updated monthly.

Access to the MSR is free to member companies that participate in the MSR program, which represents 82% of the market by NMMA’s control group of manufacturers. If you’re a boat builder and member of NMMA, you may be eligible to enroll and receive free access to the wholesale shipment data, additional data analytics and the New Powerboat Registrations Report. Annual subscriptions to the MSR and New Powerboat Registrations Report are also available. Email intel@nmma.org for more information.
