IMBC CALLS FOR BEST PROFIT IDEAS

IMBC Profit Ideas

Marina conference will highlight and reward top business ideas

The Association of Marina Industries (AMI) has opened its submission period for its Third Annual Best Profit Ideas Award. Ideas received by October 30, 2015 will be reviewed as considerations. The top three ideas will be presented during a panel session at the International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC), taking place January 27-29, 2015, at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Members of the industry are invited to send in an idea that helped improve their business and increase their profits. Ideas will be reviewed by three Certified Marina Managers serving as judges. The top three ideas will be presented during the conference after which the IMBC audience will choose a winner. The winner will receive an iPad, a free AMI membership, and complimentary registration to IMBC in 2017.

“Our attendees benefit from idea sharing,” AMI Chair Jeff Rose, Certified Marina Manager, says. “The well-received Best Profit Ideas Award from last year proves this. We are excited to offer this for a third year.” Last year’s winner was Serena Saunders of Captain John’s Fawn Harbor and Marina in Fawnskin, CA. She was awarded for her “Increasing profits through Search Engine Optimization, Reputation Marketing and Social Media,” which helped to increase her facility by 60% in website traffic from 2013-2014.

Those interested in submitting an idea must send an outline of the profit idea, projected revenue, implementation, and actual revenue (if applicable) to IMBC by October 30, 2015. Submissions should include background, materials, and training and should not exceed 1,000 words. The speaker attending IMBC, should also include a speaker background. Submissions should be emailed to IMBC’s Event Coordinator, Kate Stanley at imbc@marinaassociation.org.
