Yamaha Motor Canada is pleased to announce Steve Cyr has assumed a new role as District Sales Manager for Outboard Motors exclusively in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.

In his new position, Cyr will concentrate on supporting and strengthening Yamaha’s Outboard dealer network in this key market area, while continuing to cultivate the company’s extensive West Coast commercial outboard business.

“Armed with years of industry experience and a deep-rooted passion for the water, Steve is the perfect fit to lead Yamaha’s efforts to entrench its marine presence in British Columbia,” said Jean-Francois Rioux, National Manager for Marine at Yamaha Motor Canada. “Having a representative dedicated solely to our outboard business on the West Coast ensures Yamaha continues to provide superior service for its dealers and OEM partners.”

Cyr spent many years at a marine dealership prior to joining Yamaha five years ago as District Sales Manager for Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. An outdoor enthusiast, Cyr and his family enjoy their days on or near the water boating, camping, fishing and scuba diving the many beautiful coves of British Columbia.

Yamaha Motor Canada, based in Toronto, Ont., supports hundreds of Canadian dealers and boat builders across the country with marketing, training and parts for Yamaha’s full line of products, and strives to be the industry leader in reliability, technology and customer service. Yamaha continues to be the outboard of choice in Canada’s West Coast region.
