ACCON POP-UP BOW LIGHT

Accon Pop Up LEDs

May 18, 2017

Boat designers have long wrestled with sometimes conflicting goals of creating clean, smooth lines while maintaining everyday practicality. By folding down flush when not in use, Accon Marine’s Pop-Up® LED bow lights achieve this balance. They keep the foredeck free of unsightly protrusions to preserve a boat’s graceful profile without sacrificing functionality.

The only Pop-Up LED lights on the market, the 210 and 211 models are US Coast Guard-approved to 2 nautical miles. They meet the 72 Colregs standard for nautical lighting and are type-approved by the National Marine Manufacturers Association. The footprint of the 210 is approximately 4″ W x 4-1/2″ L; the 211 is 3-1/2″ W x 5-1/3″ L.

Made from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, both lights mount with three stainless steel #10 screws. An installation template is included and an optional plastic cup prevents unwanted water runoff below deck. A video at bit.ly/2oZQK0q shows how easy each light is to install.

Accon Marine’s 210 LED bow light retails for $195.89. A stud-mount model, which uses a 2″ stud to eliminate visible screw holes, costs $203.06. The 211 LED bow light retails for $195.89. Waterproofing cups cost $14.72.
