At the Quebec Job Creator Awards Gala, held on October 24, 2018 at the Quebec City Convention Centre, Princecraft Boats Inc. was awarded the 2018 Quebec Job Creator Award, in the category Champion for Centre-du-Québec area.

To determine the winning companies, an independent and high-qualified jury evaluated each application received according to the following four (4) criteria:
• The number of jobs created in 2017;
• The number of jobs maintained in 2017;
• The approaches used that led to this success;
• Taking into account sustainable development in creation.

Princecraft Boats succeeded in standing out from its competitors by its outstanding performance. Indeed, Princecraft Boats, which employs more than 300 people, doubled its pontoon production in 2017 and welcomed 84 new employees, to which a hundred more should join in 2018. Because our company supports local purchases, our growth also has a positive employment impact for our suppliers and the entire region. The award honors Princecraft’s ongoing efforts to make its workplace both productive and enjoyable and to reward 64 years of building quality fishing and pleasure boats for the entire family.
Employment being the engine of prosperity, the Quebec Job Creator Awards were created to highlight the significant contribution of job creators to the development of Quebec and its regions. As part of the Gala, the awards celebrate the creation, maintenance, and exceptional growth of quality jobs from a sustainable development perspective.

This year, nearly 1,000 business people, entrepreneurs, managers, government representatives and business leaders from all regions of Quebec attended the event, which was also attended by Mr. François Legault, Quebec Prime Minister.
