The 2019 Edmonton Boat and Sportsmen’s Show runs March 14-17 at the Edmonton Expo Centre. Western Canada’s biggest outdoor show is a sign that winter is winding down and soon we can get out and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer.

“Warmer weather is just around the corner, and if you love spending time outdoors then the Edmonton Boat and Sportsmen’s Show is a must attend event,” says Marla Kimball, Show Manger, “this is your first opportunity of the season to see what’s new in boats, accessories and power sports, or gear up for your next outdoor adventure.”

There is an ever-growing emphasis on the environment, and preservation and conservation are top of mind for many.  If this is an area of interest you, there is no lack of information, interest groups and like-minded people to talk to.  There are a number of organizations that will have a big presence at the Show including the Alberta Hunter Education Instructors Association (AHEIA), Edmonton Reptile Parties, and the Edmonton Fish and Game Association, just to name a few.  These organizations have one thing in common, and that is to educate and provide information in a fun hands on way.

The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) will once again host the Provincial Championships.  Watch as some of the most talented archers in the Province compete for the coveted title.

Husqvarna will be bringing in the very talented Marina Cole to show off her chainsaw carving skills.  She will be creating intricate works of art right at the Show.

Squeals of excitement can always be heard coming from the Kids Trout Fishing Pond.  Kids under the age of 12 can try their hand at catching a live trout.  This unique opportunity provides many youngsters with their first catch and release experience.  All proceeds benefit the Edmonton Fish and Game Association.
