ARE YOU IN PORTS?

PORTS Trent Severn Waterway and Lake Simcoe
PORTS Managing Editor, Rob MacLeod, is on the road for the next two weeks visiting Marinas and Marine Services along the Trent Severn Waterway and Lake Simcoe. If you see him – say hi – from a safe distance. Since Ports was taken over by CY Media in 2019, we have produced the Georgian Bay and North Channel guide and the Rideau Canal and Trent Severn guides are in process.
With so many changes in the marine industry since Ports Trent Severn was last produced in 2016, Rob knew he had to go see for himself to ensure the completeness and accuracy of PORTS. Rob is planning on reporting back on some of the changes he has encountered and some of the findings he has shared with marine businesses along the way.
For example, while visiting a marina and repair facility this past week, Rob learned that the facility had gotten out of fibreglass repairs. One of the owners said, “If you find someone who is doing this kind of work, would you please let me know.” Rob went to his car and produced the business card of a fibreglass repair business that had opened just up the road in 2017. Sometimes we are so busy doing the work we have each day, we don’t have the time to find out more about what is going on across the water.
If you are a marine-related business along the Trent Severn Waterway or on Lake Simcoe – are you in PORTS? It is a no-charge listing and the new guide is scheduled for release in 2021.
Don’t miss this opportunity to have your business in front of thousands of boaters who rely on PORTS for their cruise planning.
